Morocco- Marrakesh: “Success story” Reaping the First Seeds in Marrakesh
| Marrakesh |
" We often search for post training results. In fact, they are the goal of training which any trainer does. Usually, when we don’t reach any results, we start looking for reasons and obstacles and the efficiency of training and the value of what we do as trainers. When it’s a long time without sensing the results of training, I become skeptical about all what we and start to reconsider everything even quitting this job. What makes all these thoughts fade away is seeing the good results of training...
I thank God that I received this kind message from sister Malikah Tabhiri whom I met and her brothers in the previous Marrakesh course. Her message talks about a good success story that I’d like to share with all the trainers ".

Salam Alaikum, “My dear teacher Mohammad Pedra, I was very happy when I attended the trainers’ training course in Marrakesh. This is why I want to share these lines with you.
September sixteenth was the first day for students at university. Usually students find it hard to carry on studying after the vacation. However, it was different for me. I started working for three weeks in an increasing and exhausting way.
The first class I had was a methodology course for four hours in the afternoon. It is a tough subject and usually requires a lot of concentration. We started the course with the syllabus and it seemed very interesting because it was unusual. After that, I asked the students to leave the classroom so some whispers, queries, and giggles started. Outside the classroom, I told the students that the class will be like a train trip. Things seemed interesting again. Then we entered the classroom and everyone was seated and the trip began.
I saw a positive response that I’ve never encountered. I saw eagerness and a blaze in their eyes. All the coldness that they had in the beginning of the lesson diminished. We sometimes did some physical activities to refresh. At the end of the lesson I divided the learners into pairs and ask them to tell their partners about what they learned. After that, in five groups we had a competition to answer questions about the material they learned. An atmosphere of fun and enjoyment prevailed in the classroom. The rain started to fall in that moment and we all had a wonderful feeling. I thanked God for this bless. When I was on my way home, I felt relieved and that made me forget the long exhausting day. The next day, we had the second class of the same subject. It was eight in the morning. When I arrived to the front yard, I found it completely empty. Where are the students?
I always fins them there trying to use the last minutes to chat and relax. I said to myself “Maybe they were tired after the first day and decided to take the day off especially that we were the only class that decided to continue studying this week while the other classes decided to continue next week. When I approached the classroom, a wide smile was drawn on my face for what I saw; everyone was there. They were unusually curiously waiting at the door for the class to begin.
Thank God and may God bless you and all the brothers and sisters (Dr. Hana Al-laith, Mr. Ibrahim Talwa, Mr. Abdulwahab Bujamal, and Mr. Zuhair Alsharti) for all the efforts you have exerted.”
All the best, Malikah Tabhiri, Morocco
