Turkey - Istanbul: Captain Alkhateeb anchored the “seas pearl” ship on the safe land

By the god almighty, the nineteenth train of trainer course has been concluded at 11-Feb-2011 under the supervision of Trainers: Eng. Ahmad Alkhateeb and Omran Almorabet. This course was characterized by the variety of participant’s specialties that it included the employees of the following departments; training and development, legal, financial, secretary, technician training, ceremony. It also includes some of the senior instructors and planning department and the managers of the course.As usual, the Accelerated Learning techniques was used in this course (these techniques abbreviated a lot of time and assisted in trainee’s interaction with their trainers and with course material and with each others), the classroom was converted to become like a ship from its inside view, where Alkhateeb named it as “seas pearl” ship and the trainees was being welcomed and sailed in the sea of knowledge, so that the climate of fun and enjoyment was added to the course. The journey of knowledge was started through a short catalyst story that inflamed the trainer’s enthusiasm feelings who try to take the advantage of each moment of the training to acquire more of the skills and knowledge and values.
There was a continuous alternation in the presentation of the scientific materials of the course and its training and funny activities which contributed to increase the trainees interest and made them in a state of continuous motivation for the course and in a large form, where the trainees identified the various learning theories (Gang, Kolb, Bloom) and how to use them during training. Also they identified the process of designing the training system for different companies and organizations.
The largest focus was on presentation skills weather these skills were theoretical or clinical, and to providing them with immediate feedback (through challenging questions) during their preparations for training units through the activities, cards, and variety of games (a way from traditional and bored explaining strategies), the matter that really made the course as a learning and useful journey that is incentive to a maximum limits.
How the incentive gifts were used?
The trainees was divided into two groups using backgammon stones (black and white) and they were informed that there were gifts and awards to every group win in any scientific competition (there were a verity of scientific competitions such as answering the training units questions, preparation of training units, presentation of training units, and how to deal with difficult trainee, and good presentation, etc …). Then, the selection will be made to the group who has the priority opportunity with regard to conduct and implement the competition using scientific and entrainment games such as:
- Arrows game that was used to determine the trainees number who will present a show or will answer to a specific question.
- Circles game that was used to determine the group who has the priority in answering the open learning competition.
- Basketball game that was used to determine the group or trainee that will implement a training show.
- Volleyball game that was used to determine the group who has the priority in answering the open learning competition.
- Questions and answers cards game that usually used in learning competitions, also in the reviews of material course and its information.
- The before and after questions that was used in learning competitions that related in self preparation of the various training units by the trainers.
And at the end of each learning competition, the winner group was determined, and the group leader should receive the gift from one of the course trainers in a funny and enjoyable climate that gave unusual feelings to trainees about the learning importance.
- The basis of theoretical knowledge that needed to start training mission.
- Also, the skill of good presentation and training with a high self confidence.
- And the most important, to reinforce some of the noble values such as:
The spirit of collaboration and cooperation and charity, the spirit of competition and challenging when facing difficulties, self confidence and believe in self abilities especially the ability to establish and training a course, courage and prowess in dealing with any trainee and with any trainer….
It is worthy to mention that one of the two groups won two consecutive gifts and provided the second gift to the loser group as cooperation and to prove that they working together as one team.
In the last day, knowledge and skills tests were conducted and the certificates were distributed to the participants in a climate that is full with charity and enjoyment as a result of the acquired skills, knowledge and values in a standard time, it also was as evidence to prove the importance of the fast training competency in achieving the best results, also to confirm the importance of working as a one team that modeled in each of the course phases and by everyone who participate in it (trainees, trainers, managers). Also, a certificate of honor was provided to the managers who affect greatly through their continuous motivation to the trainees.
After that, Captain Alkhateeb made a quick and comprehensive review to the course, and concluded the course with a short story that inflamed the trainee’s feelings and encouraged them to take the advantage of their ambitions to make the positive changes which considered as a mission and should be implemented. Finally, the assessment papers were distributed to the trainees through which they expressed their opinions about overall course aspects weather training or managerial. And the most important comments were:
