Recent research and studies have demonstrated that a normal IQ is not the only indicator of success in life. Instead, a new concept called Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has emerged, which plays a significant role in defining and describing success. But what's new and wonderful is how emotional intelligence differs from conventional intelligence, which is characterized by stability and non-evolution, and EQ can be enhanced through training and learning.
Starting from this simple introduction, Dr. Mohammed Pedra, a consultant trainer, launched a Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner course, whose events were hosted by Bilad Al-Sham University - Al-Fatih Islamic Institute during the period from 5-8 July 2021. Where Dr. Mohammed introduced the participants to this course, one of many courses offered by BrainyCore, a that specializes in developing emotional intelligence (EQ) and offers training courses and solutions for leaders, managers, and work teams in businesses, as well as solutions for individuals.
The BrainyCore Emotional Intelligence Assessment (BCA) questions were first answered by each participant, after which they were given the Report In Emotional Intelligence For Leaders BCL.The BCL report contains the results of measuring the 13 emotional intelligence skills. It diagnoses the level of each skill for each participant, highlights the strengths and points that need improvement, and provides the necessary advice for that.
52 participants of all ages and genders participated in the four-day course, which was rich in every moment. The participants' cultural and academic backgrounds varied, and among them were certified trainers from IllafTrain, scholars and preachers, consultants in the field of management, quality and education, and managers in organizations (business - educational - civil), and university lecturers, as well as teachers, administrative and financial staff and media and public relations, as well as Ph.D. and MA holders, university graduates, engineers, and university students from several disciplines: administration - Sharia - engineering - medicine and pharmacy - economics - literature.
This cultural and academic diversity increased the course's interaction, as opinions multiplied, and discussions and points of view varied during the days of this distinguished event. Particularly after 49 participants submitted their questionnaires, Dr. Mohammed worked to fully explain his experience in Emotional Intelligence through his in-depth explanation. He taught the trainees about Emotional Intelligence skills and how to improve them, supported by a set of examples and useful exercises. The course addressed the BrainyCore Emotional Intelligence model, which consists of four main points:
- Know yourself
- Be yourself
- Know others
- Invest in others
On the conclusion day, Dr. Hussam El-Din Al-Farfour, the director of the Bilad Al-Sham University's Al-Fatih Islamic Institute Branch, thanked Dr. Mohammed Pedra for the crucial knowledge and information he had imparted to the attendees. The course is extremely valuable, and makes everything seem logical
I've learned to try to prioritize reason over feeling.
I discovered how crucial having crystal-clear vision is.
I discovered that although I had no idea it, I had been an extra actress, not lead, without even realizing it, and that I worked tirelessly to please the director.
It served as an additional training course to the doctrine course.
We must focus on the fact that each of us was made with a reason and a purpose.
All thanks to Dr. Mohammed Pedra, and to all those in charge of this course.

- Mohammed Pedra is to be commended for this excellent course, and the course administration is to be commended for the kind invitation and the flawless planning.
The course taught me a lot, but the most important lesson was that I used to control my reactions without controlling my emotions, which had exhausting and occasionally beneficial psychological effects. Now that I've taken the course, I believe I can control my emotions and, in turn, my reactions.
Mohamed Noureddine Hawari

I discovered how to utilize everything that was discussed in this class generally, and in particular how to prioritize my existence's purpose, work hard in all of my endeavors, and do everything I can to please those who helped me along the way.
Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al-Makhzoumi

The most crucial lesson I took away from this course was how to shift my perspective, see things differently than I had previously believed to be true, and act in accordance with whatever emergency necessity arose in order to make the most of the coming days.
May God grant all those who are responsible for it.
